I like to think that I'm a simple guy. Happily married. Worship leader. Professional photographer. Things aren't so simple sometimes, so here is where I share them. (Kyle Ellman took this picture. There is a link to his blog below.)

Hi friends, thanks for giving this blog a look. Honestly, I'm not the best with words-which is probably why I resort to pictures and singing other peoples' songs. So I will just answer a few questions about me:

  • I live in Springfield, MO with my lovely wife, Skyler. She has her own blog where she writes much better stuff than I do.
  • I am a worship leader at High Street Baptist Church for our 11:00am contemporary service.
  • I've been a professional photographer for about two years, and I shoot mainly with a Canon 7D. I consider myself a "strobist."
  • I was choir president in high school. I hold it as my most prestigious title thus far.
  • I don't have cable, but I am addicted to 24, 30 Rock, and Lost. Hulu is the greatest thing on the internet. Alright, that's a bit of a stretch.
  • I'm a Mac user. My favorite application is Tweetie, closely followed by Lightroom 2.
  • I have 15.3GB of music in my iTunes. Thrice, Derek Webb, Sigur Ros, and Hillsong dominate.
  • My birthday is December 7th. I would appreciate a gift. Especially an iTunes gift card. 15.3GB is not nearly enough.
  • I am a frequent to Twitter. If you can't get enough of me on here then follow me. Or add me on Facebook, but I'm not on it nearly as much.
  • I prefer dogs over cats, vanilla over chocolate, trucks over cars (even though I don't own a truck).
  • I wear white v-neck t-shirts 80% of the time.
  • And yes, I once got four tickets in one stop. On a 49cc scooter. The only violations I've ever had.

I am open to answering any other questions you may have. If you have a question about photography or gear or music or Jesus comment on one of my posts, send me an email, or simply ask me on FormSpring with the little widget below this. I'll do my best to give everyone an honest answer.

Cheers.
